Following is another principle relatable to homosexuality:
Order and lawfulness exist throughout the universe whether it is acknowledged and used responsibly or ignored. Opposition exists in all things, up and down, cold and hot, good and bad, etc. We cannot break physical or moral laws and expect no ill effect. To the extent we break them we are likely to break ourselves. All behavior carries a price tag, and life presents a final tally, the sum of our choices.
One of the most important dichotomies is that of truth and error. Is something right and believable or not? It appears that life circumstances have encouraged those who become estranged from others of their gender to be wrongly convinced concerning themselves. I believe the bedrock of homosexual identification to be an incomplete or devalued and distorted sense of self. This contributes to arrested psychosocial and psychosexual development. Thus, while these men may be in adult bodies and often excel in many areas of their lives, they remain, in the deepest recesses of their self or identity, very young, needful children. Not “internalized homophobia,” this most elemental sense of being, the “I am,” lies at the heart of the matter. In this case, ability to connect particularly with those of one’s own gender is jeopardized and likely held in place by fear. Recognizing early the stiff winds of homophobia, youth and many men remain apart, surmising astutely, “If you really knew me, you would reject me.”
